Litchfield Girls Soccer Opens Conference Play with 4-0 Shutout Over Pana

PANA, Ill. — The Litchfield varsity girls’ soccer team continued its spectacular start to the 2026 campaign on Tuesday, opening conference play with a commanding 4-0 road shutout over Pana at Tanner Park.

Riding a wave of early-season momentum, Litchfield controlled the pace of the match from the opening whistle. The visitors built a comfortable 2-0 advantage by halftime and maintained their relentless pressure in the second half, adding two more goals to seal the comprehensive 4-0 victory.

The victory showcased the same balanced attack and suffocating defense that has defined Litchfield’s season. With the win, Litchfield improves to a stellar 9-1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference action. Through 11 matches, the team has outscored its opponents by an eye-popping margin of 53-4.

Sophomore McKenna Harmon has been the primary offensive engine for Litchfield this season, pacing the squad with 11 goals on 57 shots. Senior Chloe Law has been the team’s top facilitator, racking up nine assists. On the defensive end, sophomore goalkeeper Lynzie Reid has been a nearly impenetrable wall, boasting a phenomenal 0.444 goals-against average on the year.

Pana, meanwhile, drops to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play following the home defeat. The hosts fought hard to contain Litchfield’s high-powered offense but ultimately could not find a way past the visitors’ disciplined backline. Pana has been led this season by Brooklyn Beck, who paces the team with two goals, and goalkeeper Morgan Frost.
