LiveWell – Pana Community Hospital is inviting the community to explore the role of nutrition in personal health during an upcoming class scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 18.
The session, titled “Discover the power of protein,” will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Meeting Room on the lower level of the hospital. The interactive class is designed to teach attendees about different types of proteins, including both animal-based and plant-based options, and how they support the body’s needs.
In addition to general nutritional education, the curriculum will dive into the role protein plays in heart health, offering methods to manage cholesterol through smart food choices and practical tips for creating balanced meals.
Following the educational portion, participants will engage in a hands-on cooking experience to prepare recipes featuring a variety of protein sources.
