Community Hospital of Staunton announced it will host a free workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 27, designed to help residents create “show-stopping” charcuterie boards in time for upcoming game day watch parties.
The hands-on class is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s boardroom. Organizers stated the curriculum goes beyond aesthetics, teaching attendees how to pair and plate a variety of cheeses while exploring healthier options that are lower in sodium and fat.
In addition to nutrition, the course will cover food safety tips to ensure spreads are safe to eat and serve. Participants will learn to make flavorful dips and wholesome snacks before putting their skills to the test by practicing the design of their own charcuterie boards.
