MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The Montgomery County Board Coordinating Committee on Thursday, May 28, 2026, moved to undo a February agreement with Shelby County and substitute one with Effingham County, taking both actions in back-to-back unanimous votes.

Mark Hughes moved to rescind the February 10, 2026, CIPT ordinance and intergovernmental agreement with Shelby County, seconded by Chad Ruppert. All were in favor and the motion carried.
